About
Who runs Doorganico, what the blog covers, how articles are researched and checked, and how to reach the people who write them.
This is a blog and nothing more complicated than that. Nothing is deleted once it is up, so the archive is the full record, written to the standard of the line under the logo, Organic living made simple and affordable.
We started publishing after realising that the useful information about Practical organic food, gardening, and a more natural home existed, but only in the heads of people who had no reason to write it down. Doorganico writes it down.
There are questions we routinely decline. Anything that depends on facts only you can see, and anything where being wrong would cost you real money on our say so.
Hosting and research come out of the same pocket that buys the things we write about. That keeps the running costs honest and the pace slow.
You can see who wrote what, and you can see everything else they wrote. That is deliberate, because it makes a bad article expensive for the person who wrote it.
Elowen Hart, Organic food and cooking writer. Elowen writes about eating organically on a normal budget, focused on what is worth it and what is not.
Rafael Mendes, Home gardening writer. Rafael has grown food in spaces large and small and writes to make organic gardening feel approachable for beginners.
Saoirse Boyd, Natural home and wellness writer. Saoirse covers simpler, more natural choices at home, cutting through marketing to what genuinely makes a difference.
People ask about the name. There is rarely a good story behind a domain, and there is not one here either. Doorganico was available, it was short enough to say out loud, and it has been the name long enough now that changing it would be more confusing than keeping it.
Articles are filed under one topic each, so an archive page reads as a list rather than a pile. Most of the traffic here lands on organic food, organic gardening and natural home.
Each article answers one question about Practical organic food, gardening, and a more natural home and then stops. Padding a page to look thorough is the easiest way to waste a reader's afternoon.
We are not neutral about quality, but we are honest about incentives. Where money is involved, the page says so.
How claims get checked and how money is disclosed is written down separately, on the editorial policy page.
Corrections go to info@01doorganico.site. Quote the sentence rather than describing it. We would rather log a visible correction than edit a page and hope nobody noticed, and the contact page explains the rest.
